Mood Disorder + Anxiety

Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder include periods of persistent sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in activities. Some people may cycle between depression and periods of unusually high energy and impulsivity. Anxiety disorders involve excessive worry and fear, rumination, restlessness, irritability, and even physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, headaches, stomach aches, and or shortness of breath.


Traumatic events can happen at any age and can cause long-lasting harm. They can happen directly to you or you may witness others being harmed. Everyone has a different reaction to trauma, so you might notice effects quickly or a long time afterward, which can impact your emotional and physical well-being throughout your life.

Conflict can happen in our interpersonal relationships, whether with a partner, parents, or even within our whole family.

Finishing school, changing careers, marriage, divorce, caring for family members, aging- we experience changes at many points in our lives which can be challenging to navigate on your own.

Work + Life Balance

Achieving a balance between work/school and personal life is essential to healthy psychological functioning. When these parts of our life are out of proportion, it can lead to personal distress, difficulty in our relationships, and even a decline in our physical health.

Body Kindness and Acceptance

Many suffer from disordered eating patterns, excessive worry about how they look and what they eat, and negative body image. In addition, we are constantly bombarded with messages from diet culture that can have a negative impact on healing from these patterns.

Women's Issues

Gender inequality creates disparities for women and girls in all facets of life-education, career, healthcare, domestic violence and abuse, and lower wages, just to name a few. These inequalities have a negative impact on the psychological, emotional, and physical health of women.

LQBTQIA + Affirming

Sexual orientation and gender identity are not a choice, nor is it the root or cause of one’s problems. ‍ Providing affirming therapy ensures that all sexualities and genders will be regarded positively and with respect. Affirmative therapy also recognizes the disproportionate amount of trauma, inequality, and adversity that individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ experience in the world.
